SSI engineering has recently developed, tested, and installed a new hydraulic power unit on its new twin-shaft M100 shredders. The HPU's improved, smaller design and reorientation on the shredder means an M100 user has more flexibility in fitting the shredder into his operation. A streamlined manifold eliminates most of the control plumbing, making the shredder easier to maintain. Coming in three pump options, the new power unit can be configured from 150 - 250 HP. It also comes with an optional sound enclosure, an optional ram assist circuit, and an optional water/oil heat exchanger.
The new M100 HPU represents another instance of SSI's kaizen culture of continuous improvement from the factory floor up, a culture that has seen one innovation after another in the reduction industry.
