January 2008 - E-Scrap The Challenges With an ever-increasing volume of electronic devices becoming obsolete, and new technologies being introduced to the marketplace almost weekly, collectors and processors who handle end-of-life electronics are starting to drown in the materials that are their lifeblood. As a result, many of them are asking for automated material processing and recovery systems (i.e. a series of machines that can be fed whole electronics, then automatically prepare and sort the commodity materials inside of them into salable product streams) and that is a tall order to fill.
