The Challenges

Every year, tire manufacturers are making their products to be safer and more resilient. They are adding more steel, more fiber and sometimes other engineered materials to accomplish these goals. This is great for you and I as the consumer, but, it’s not so great when you’re in the business of trying to destroy something that’s designed to be indestructible. On top of this, competition among tire processing companies is increasingly difficult. Processors are looking for a break.

The Solution

SSI Shredding Systems has been building tire shredding machinery since 1980. Our customers today are looking for ways to reduce up-front capital costs as well as cut operational costs and associated downtime. In response to our customers, SSI is pleased to offer a new approach for companies who are looking to make TDF (Tire Derived Fuel) or Civil Engineering chips from car & truck tires. The SSI Trommel System is here and the benefits are astonishing:
