May 2008 - Bicycles The Challenges Similar to last month's shred, bicycles are another example of bulky, lightweight metals. With more and more focus on how to reuse and renew our precious resources, shredding materials such as bicycles is a great way to take a material at the end of the life cycle and to prepare it for it's next life. It's Recycling 101. The Solution As always, a shredder needs to be large enough to accept the material to be shred and powerful enough to process the material without overloading or reversing. This Dual-Shear shredder was large enough to easily swallow the bicycles.
