November 2007 - "The Monster" The Challenges Some challenges are bigger than others, and some are MUCH bigger. Every now and then we get asked to build shredders for the most difficult of materials...and by the way, at the highest volumes! Things like huge rolls of aluminum, large bales of dense scrap so compacted it looks like a solid block of metal, or huge computer cabinets and servers. All types of big large heavy items that need to be shredded for all sorts of reasons. We have been building big shredders for a long time, but these new applications require a shredder even bigger than our regular shredders! The Solution What did we do to solve the problem? We built an even bigger shredder than we have in the past. This one has more torque, bigger shafts, bigger bearings, larger motors and more horsepower than any of our standard systems. This shredder is not for everyone, but when you need a shredder that takes it to the highest level, that processes “mo-betta-faster” than anything else, this is the one.
