September 2007 - Soccer Balls The Challenges Sometimes it's not about recycling. Sometimes it's about pure destruction. There are times when materials absolutely need to be destroyed. Here's an example: A marketing genius at one of those world-famous *sports companies* dreams up a brilliant idea on how to make his company seem more eco-friendly.....forest green colored soccer balls! "It looked good on paper" says the marketing genius to his boss. But after producing 50,000 green soccer balls, quickly realized that they've just created the world's first camouflage ball! The Solution When companies find themselves in these types of situations, it's a shredder that gets the job done quickly and easily. In this case, we used a Dual-Shear shredder to destroy the material at hand, soccer balls (not the green ones though, they were already gone)!
