August, 8th 2012
A contract to build and deliver specialized industrial shredding equipment from SSI Shredding Systems has been signed by Liyang Environmental Technology Company to process industrial waste into reusable material and alternative fuels in western China
Wilsonville, OR – In July of 2012, representatives of U.S.-based SSI Shredding Systems, Inc., and Chongqing Liyang Environmental Technology Company of China met in Chongqing and co-signed a purchase agreement for a new industrial shredding system to be built for the Chongqing Industrial Waste Treatment Project. As one of western China’s representative environmental companies, Liyang will install the new shredding system into their new AFR (Alternative Fuel Recycling) production line, which is the first industrial waste processing center in Chongqing city.
Industrial solid waste continues to rapidly expand as a viable market throughout China. By utilizing technology and experience, China is actively developing industrial solid waste treatment solutions designed to suit the needs of the country’s local manufacturers and industrial firms.
The AFR production line is designed to process industrial waste into reusable material and alternative fuel for burning in pre-calciner cement kilns through a series of processes including material inspection, categorizing, shredding, and separation. The alternative fuel produced will be sized to meet specific requirements of various cement kilns.
“Through this line we will be able to maximize the reusable values of industrial waste.” said Mr.Zeng, General Manager of Liyang Environmental.
SSI's unique double stacked EX Electric Dual-Shear shredderThe new shredding system designed and built by SSI Shredding Systems, Inc., will consist of a two-stage process: 1) Primary shredding with a hydraulic Dual-Shear® two-shaft shredder; 2) Secondary shredding with SSI’s unique double stacked EX electric Dual-Shear® two-shaft shredder. Both of these low-speed, high-torque units will provide the benefits of low power consumption while offering high efficiency and ease of maintenance. SSI engineers will design the entire system to meet strict size requirements required by Liyang Environmental.
“SSI is looking forward to the opportunity to work with Liyang on this project. We intend for Liyang’s new system to become one of SSI’s showcase installations for alternative fuel applications in western China.” said Richard Ellis, SSI Asia Market Sales Director.
SSI Shredding Systems, Inc. is well versed in supplying shredding systems for alternative fuel preparation lines that feed cement kilns. For over 30 years and with installations spanning over 46 countries, SSI has established a solid reputation around the world and is a validated supplier to some of the world’s largest cement companies.
The purchase agreement for the new shredding system is a just the beginning of a long-term relationship between the SSI Shredding Systems, Inc., and Liyang Environmental Technology Company. Both companies believe that by sharing mutual technical and market resources, together they can help develop China’s solid waste market successfully.
