High speed machinery can be damaged by metals and other materials entering them. They also work best when they are fed consistently sized materials at a controlled rate. The best way we know of to optimize a wood grinder is to install a PRI-MAX® reducer in front of it. Its faster and more efficient than pre-crushing with an excavator, and it can be set to feed the grinder at just the right flow rate to optimize the processing line.

Broken pallets, skids, crates, cable spools, boxes and C&D debris can all be size reduced, then recyclables and metals can be removed prior to being used as an energy source at a paper mill or power plant.
